With the new MOSHIP and Rescue Support Ship POSEIDON to enter in service by 2026/2027, ESP Navy Submarine Rescue actual capabilities fall on A20 SPS NEPTUNE, a former oilfield tug configured as a Submarine Rescue Ship in early 90´s.
SPS Neptune can deploy a ventilation/Depressurisation System (VDS) either by divers or by ROV. VDS onboard is national manufactured (Langa) with working depth up to 200 m.
